 Hello,

I am wondering if there is any difference between updating the deploymnet point (right-klick and "update files only") or just copying the files to the deployment point with a USB-stick? I have a lab-point and two remote deployment points and one of them has a really slow conection which makes it easier to copy the files with a usb-stick to that server.

I am using Microsoft deployment toolkit and the LiteTouch Scenario.

It's not advisable to do this but I cannot see why you shouldn't.

Whenever you make updates to the configuration, it might be worth using a utility such as FileSync to compare the files at one Deployment Point with another. Then you don't have to sync over the WAN, you can just copy the changed files highlighted by the utility to your USB flash drive.

Then again, there may be more complex processes going on in the background when you perform a 'files only' update. I'm not sure myself.

Both,

I know this really isn't what you asked about, but I really think this article will probably give you a much better solution.
