This is about one slick slick forum design, i know that.  Anyway, my question.

i'm trying to not have to reverse engineer a reverse engineered gpl code decompressor in 7zip so that i can take files and create wim's myself in C# (leaving out some putting in some)  just using net in a virtualized runtime app.  I have read (a lot were copied) there was some existence of a magical whitepaper on the actual file format.  I have nothing against the imagex tool, but i would rather design the weirdness in myself :-) in a gui.  Just watch, as soon as i say this, it will come out in a sdk other than the deployment kit.

thanks much and happy holidays.
