Hi everybody, I'm using SCCM with MDT 4.0 integrated for a XP to VISTA refresh scenario. All my packages (USMT, MDT Toolkit sources, ConfigMgr, CSETTINGS, ..) are ok, boot images replicated over every DP, everything 's deploying fine when launching from a "pure" SCCM task sequence. But when I run MDT imported task sequence, it fails at the very end (Move State Store task) with an generic error of 00000001. smsts.log wont talk, nor any other logs, error is not even written on it. I search for usmt log files, in vein... :/ For info, my SMP is full of User data and my local Statestore directory contains a file computername.wim (which i suppose seems to be USMT's Backup datas) I manage to bypass this behaviour by ticking the "continue on error" option in the task, but now it fails on "Copy Logs" task with the same generic error. My CS.ini contains nothing but OSinstall entry and SLShare entry (wich had been verified to be a good UNC path) i'm starting to get lost and ..quite upset :/ Could there be any help? Ah ,also, when running TS, i also disable the "Determine Local or Remote User" because my XP ' machines got 2 partitions. If executing this task, TS would always stock the Migration Data on my second partition and I just do need datas to be stored on my SMP.

Having migrated through MDT 2008, still same problem. Seems to be relative to my TS though, as a "New Computer" scenario makes the exact same error.... Still studying the case

Can anyone please tell us all what the SMP is for ? Is it just a network share of USMT ?

I have just had a case where USMT failed to install on the new VISTA SP1 when trying to restore user state. The USMT Install log complained about running: C:\Windows\System32\wusa.exe 4: /quiet /norestart "C:\Program Files\USMT301\KB934585.msu" I can find NO refrence on MS to KB934585. Is this your probelm as well? And what is the answer?
