Does anyone know how i can insert DNS entries, and also Trusted Sites entries post image install. I'm fairly new to this forum, and I'm also new to how MDT works, so if anyone can help me with this one it would be greatly appreciated well in advance.

An example of what I'm trying to do is to make my core image, which is Windows XP SP2 up to date with all my DNS entries, and Trusted Sites.

Thanks,

God Bless

You can automate the install of IE7 using the IEAK http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/bb219556.aspx.  You can add your trusted sites into the install of IE7.   If you are not using IE7 trusted sites can be added into the unattend.txt under [IEHardening].

As for DNS entries.

You need to modify the task sequence "Apply Network Settings" or if you do not have this in your task sequence.  Click Add > Settings > Apply network Settings  into your task sequence.

by default the task sequence will use DHCP if you highlight apply networks settings,  click the properties tab then click the button that looks like the sun.   you can then tab to the DNS entries.

Hello again,

I'm still having problems trying to setup "DNS Suffixes" entries within "Apply Network Settings" from within the Task Sequence Properties of my wim image. Basically what I'm trying to accomplish is to be able to add all of my company's DNS Suffixes so that once i image a pc those entries would become part of my image. Furthermore, when i try to setup the DNS Suffix entries within "Network Settings", all that i'm able to add are ip addresses of the servers, which does not work at all. Also please let me know how to go about adding those entries, is it an IP Address? or the actual name. Any help is greatly appreciated.
