Hi guys!

I have successfully set up an installatioin with MDT2008/WDS to deploy XPSP3 to our computers. I have one problem though, the first time the computer is supposed to autologon to continue the deployment it actually tries to log on to the domain. I am presented with the standard logon-screen, and the username and domain fields are populated with "Administrator" and "DOMAIN" respectively.

If I click "Cancel" and then press CTRL-ALT-DEL, the client autologin(!) and the deployment continues.
The Task Sequence used is set to join the computer to the domain, and that works fine. I have used this method many times before with no problems - this is the first time i have set up the latest release of MDT 2008 though.

I am not using a captured image, we install XPSP3 from the Source CD.

Anyone here experienced the same issues? Any ideas?

Regards, Knut Erik

I have had the autologon not work when the encryptadmin password in sysprep is to yes.  If the admin password is not encrpyted it autologons fine.  Do you have the Admin password encrypted in the sysprep.inf ?

Nah, it's not set to encrypted. In this deployment I don't use sysprep.inf at all, since I just use scripted installs, not sysprepped images.

Thanks anyway. :)
