I have created a Network deployment point to a DFS share on our network but on booting to WDS and selecting the DFS deployment point my deployment still runs off the MDT server.  I mounted the Light Touch.wim file and on looking at the bootstrap.ini file I can see that the deploy point is set to \\servername\deployment_share rather than \\dfs_root\Share .  I changed the file to point to the correct lcoation but still my build is trying to use the MDT server rather than the DFS share.

My WDS server is on the same box as my MDT share so to test I am booting to the WDS image and starting the build then removing the network cable from the MDT/WDS server once it is installing the OS as at this point it should be using the DFS share to pull the build from.  However the build fails with cannot find \\servername\....etc

What do I need to do to create a network image?  I have done this before in BDD and have this image working off DFS...

Did you update your deployment point (not files only) and import this winpe 2.0 to wds?

Yes I have done this. I don't understand how it could possibly work as when it creates a network boot point it creates the bootstrap.ini file pointing to the local server rather than the network share? Either I'm doing something wrong here or this feature just plain doesn't work...

I'm open to any ideas on things I might have done wrong. I really need to get this working.
