Good Morning,

The problem is - I am not getting any user profiles (administrator, default user, etc.) when I am trying to install a captured .wim image.

I am using MDT 2008 to capture the .wim image and install it.

The following is a list of steps I am taking:

1. Run OS XP sp2 installation using standard client task sequence

       a) It's installing OS and applications.

       b) Preparing to capture (copy sysprep files)

2. Then I am doing some manual changes and running sysprep with the options -reseal -mini

3. After syspreping I am running standard client replace task sequence to capture the .wim image

4. Trying to install it using standard client task sequence.

After installation I am getting no any user profiles.. Windows generates new administrator profile.

User profiles are on D:\Profiles and I am not getting any of them.

If you make all your changes to the administrator profile before you do a capture and you want these changes to be in the default user profile you need to add the following line to your sysprep.inf after [Unattended] before you run sysprep

UpdateServerProfileDirectory=1

see kb887816.

I think this is what you are after
