Hi!

I am building a universal image to use for deployment using MDT 2008. The OS I am using is Windows XP Professional and I use VMWare to build it. So far I managed to create one single Win XP .wim-image that I have deployed on the following HP computers; dx5150, dc5100, nx8220, nx7400, 6510b and 6710b.

The last HP computer I want to include is HP dx2200. But I just can't get it to work. The LTI process completes with no errors. But when I look in the Device Manager I get a warning under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers (see attached screenshot).

Any idea why I get that yellow warning?

EDIT: I have manually installed HP sp34019 after I deployed the image to see if that would help. But it still won't work.

I would appreciate any help to solve this. Then my universal image would be complete <img

Regards
Erik

Maybe there is an issue with the version of the driver and your BIOS? Sometimes drivers require certain BIOS versions to install properly.

If I install Windows XP directly from the XP media onto the dx2200 it works great. It's just when I apply the image I built using VMWare it won't work. Might that give you any idea what might go wrong?

Have you tried adding the mass-storage drivers to the image before you sysprep it? There are a plethora of guides on how to do that. I believe Ben Hunter has an excellent one on his old blog.

I added the mass storage drivers in my Sysprep.inf file. Either that didn't work. Or I got the wrong drivers.

Anyone who succesfully built an image in VMWare or Virtual PC and then deployed it onto an HP dx2200?
