I have a number of XP builds on the Deployment box which deploy perfectly. However today I was asked to set an OS partition size to 20GB.

I went about setting it up in the task sequence under "Format & Partion" section as I do for a vista build. The system was successfully deployed but it used the whole of the disk rather than formatting and setting a 20 GB partition. It works fine in vista. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to set custom partitions when using XP wim image file deployments?

Thanks

have you done an update file of your deployment point after the modification in your task sequences?

I have fixed this issue now.....forgot to post as its crazy here atm.

I basically set ExtendOemPartition = 0 in the sysprep.inf.

Hope this helps somebody else :)

Hi, I have same issue but the changed ExtendOemPartition setting, which I set in the sysprep.inf associated with the deployment task sequence of my custom wim, is not taking effect? If I understand correctly this setting is supposed to be merged into the sysprep.inf file already in the wim image, overiding it. Not working though. I assume I can mount the image and change the setting in the sysprep.inf file thats in the wim image but I don't want to do that... I want to know what I need to do to to make it work like its supposed to.
