Hi All:

I am attempting to build a Vista Reference  image using a boot disk I created on my MDT 2008 Workbench.  I use the ISO to boot off a VM in VMWare 6.5 beta, but when the WinPE ISO boots, it cannot detect the NIC, I can't set a static ip because there is no NIC to set it to,  and trying to use DHCP does not work, and it fails to connect to the deployment share.  Below is the test of the final error prompt I keep getting:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~|~~~~~~~~~~~~|~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A connection to the deployment share (\\DPSVR01\Distribution$) could not be made.
The deployment will not proceed.
The following networking device did not have a driver installed.
PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_2000&SUBSYS_20001022&REV_10
~~~~~~~~~~~~~|~~~~~~~~~~~~|~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The weird thing is that I previously had VPC 2007 installed and it worked and got past this stage, I de-installed it and went with VMWare because I could not move prompt windows to configure the image or get the VPC 2007 mouse to work within the VM.

Thanks in advance.

Hi All:

Issue resolved. I simply pulled the dirvers for my VMware install from the program file into MDT workbench. The drivers were not valid. The proper way was to use the Vmare Nic drivers from the VMware Windows.iso
