I am unable to image a couple of PCs (HPdc7700 and 7800) which use the same network driver. I am seeing the error "A connection to the deployment share \\Server\Distribution$ could not be made.etc.) My other models (mostly Broadcom NIC drivers) work fine. This is why I think it's a driver issue.

When I first built the MDT box, I WAS able to image the 7800 and created an image successfully. However, since I have built several other models in the meantime, now when I go back to these models I get the above error. I replaced the Intel driver in the Out of Box folder, updated LAB Distribution Point and even rebuilt the WinPE.wim to WDS. Same results.

WinPE does contact the server and DHCP does issue an IP. I CAN ping the MDT server from the client and vice verse. If anyone has an ideas around this or how to isolate it, I'd very much appreciate it.
Steve

Are you sure to use a user with the required rights on share and filesystem?

As mentioned above, the installs work on several other models PCs. I'm 99% sure they are all Broadcom drivers. The
issue I think is that the MDT is getting confused as to what driver to use.
1. I do get a IP from DHCP
2. I CAN ping MDT server from client and vice verse
3. I CAN image other HP and Dell models with MDT
4. I do have the correct drivers (loaded fresh copy) updated LAB share and updated file.
5. Imported new WinPE.wim file to WDS
Just wanted to be clear about what I have done already and how MDT is behaving in general.

Question, is there a way that I can check to be sure that the Intel Gigabit driver in question is actually in the WinPE.wim file? It is most definitely in the Out of Box drivers folder in the Workbench.
