My company has deployed several dozen configurations for Lite Touch, with multiple deployment points across the country.  After completing a large number of additions and changes we are ready to update, however it's not clear what the impact will be on the system.

I'm envisioning two scenarios:

1) Any ongoing Lite Touch deployments that are underway during the updates become corrupted due to conflicts and need to be restarted.

2) Any new Lite Touch attempted after the updates have started will either fail outright or appear to run normally until they conflict in item 1.

Would doing the updates safely disable the deployment points to prevent these conflicts until they are complete?  If not then the only alternative would be to announce an outage to the entire IT organization and perform these off-hours.

I've searched across a number of resources for an answer but have so far come up dry.  I'd like to know if anyone has had any success with this. /ASM
