Hi, I have a wim image supplied from client using win PE using imagex to install XP onto a range fo different machines, i have a different image for each one, They supplied it on a bootable DVD and this works fine for imaging onto machine, however when i try to use WDS by taking the boot image on the DVD and editing it to pull the install wim from my WDS(usin server 2003 R2) the computer kept crashing after the image was applied and rebooting it reported a stop error msg 7b, i kind of fixed this by copying the WIM file onto a second partition on the local machine and it would sometimes load the OS and start windows and start the sysprep, however it wont always work, i am thinking possibly that somewhere in my network is something faulty and sometimes during the copy it is loosing some packets and corrupting the WIM ? I also have the problem that when the image works over the network the drivers dont install correctly, it seems really weird that it does work fine with the DVD, drivers included, i have looked through the DVD and it appears that the drivers and the app that installs them is in the Install image and is nowhere on the disk. I am absoloutely stumped and am unsure what i can do to resolve this problem, and advice would be greatly appreciated.

the BSOD error 7b is issued because there is a Mass Storage driver mismatch in the image (Things like not adding the intel matrix storage drive to the image and using SATA in AHCI Mode)
Try setting the Sata mode to "Compatible" in the computer BIOS or injecting those drivers
