I am trying to add a "Drivers" folder to the root (c:\) of a custom build.

I tried inserting  $OEM$\$1\Drivers  and $OEM$\Drivers in the distribution$\control\custom_image_name folder of the custom build.

Niether work.

Any ideas?

-thanks

I have the same problem. The only way I can get the drivers folder on the root is to add it to the custom wim image by mounting it as read write, copy the drivers folder, close the image and apply changes. I use Gimagex to work with the images, I found it easier than trying to remember the command line all the time.

I would prefer to do it by adding the folders to the distribution$\control\custom_image_name folder but have been unable to get it to work. If you figure it out please let me know.

I am able to get this to work when I want to add something to the c:\windows\system32 folder of a build, by going to the MDT server share:

distribution$\control\custom_image_name  folder and adding:

$OEM$\$$\System32 and placing whatever files or folders in that folder (in my case additional .dlls for custom apps).

The usual setting to go to the root is: $OEM$\$1, but it doesn't work.

Wondering if there is a new syntax for it?

I have not yet loaded mdt2008 update patch 1 but when I create a folder on D:\Distribution\Control\nameofimage\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\IASTOR

after the deployment c:\drivers\iastor exists on the pc / laptop.
