Good Afternoon,We just upgraded to SCCM and since we are unable to simple move our old images from SMS2003 I pulled down the old image in the upgrade state. I then ran any updates needed removed the old sms client and used the SCCM capture which ran my sysprep.inf and captured the new .wim up to my sccm box. I created a Task sequence to deploy the newly prepped and captured .wim and everything goes fine until the final portion of the installation "Setup Windows and ConfigMgr" it then returns the "Task Sequence has Failed with error code (0x80070005)". I check my task sequence advertisement report and it returns the following. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!!!!

If you could post your logs that could help determine the issue better.

Mike,

I appreciate the response but I worked the issue out. I then ran into another interesting issue and not sure if you have seen it or not. I would get to the end of my osd deployment and after the client is supposed to get installed I would get a BSOD with the following error:
"Stop c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status code
0xc0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shutdown."
It appears that in the Client install folder there were numerous files not digital assigned or o bytes in size.

1.) windowsupdateagent30-x86.exe = No digital signature

2.) WindowsXP-KB923845-x86-ENU.exe = No digital signature

3.) MSRDCOOB_X86.EXE = No digital signature

4.) wmirdist.msi = 0 bytes in size

I replaced the above mentioned files and now it works as advertised.

Thanks again!!
