Hello everyone.

I'm trying to query Active Directory from within the WinPE system.   I can't even authenticate with a local DC and am quite confused.

I believe that all the necessary components are installed, including ADO and ADS objects, as the files are included in the image and the required registry keys exist.

Cheers.

Brent.

I'm just replying to myself incase anyone else wanted to know what I did to resolve my issue.

I created an Active Directory service provider through SQL using Linked servers, and then I can simply query the SQL server (and that inturns queries Active Directory).

I know it's a round-about-way, but it works for me, as I couldn't get my simply script to query AD.  :-(
