hello,

I am about to start evaluating MDT 2008 (with WDS for pxe boot) for deploying 2000, 2003, and 2008 servers. At this point I believe I'd be using LTI. Does anyone know of any good guides or how-to's to quickly see how this will work? the documentation on MS site is really not organized in a way to expidite evaluation... their quickstart guide is no good either. I'm not saying their documentation is bad, I'm just looking for more consolodated information on my specific scenario... I know everything I would need to know could likely be a 4-8 page document...

Richard Smith has written a very good guide

Resources > Download Library > Client Build and Deployment Lab Setup

It says BDD 2007 but MDT is just an upgrade to that, for what you want, it should do perfectly.

32 pages long, but it's all useful though.

You can also read the MDT 2008 Documentation. Either in the Information\Documentation section of the WorkBench, or %ProgramFiles%\MS Deployment Toolkit\Documentation. There are some really good docs in there, with TONS of information.
