Hi,

I'm trying to setup a working deployment infrastructure, but the more I read, the more I keep getting confused with how it is supposed to be setup. Could somebody please point me in the direction of an a-z guide. Specially with the whole distribution points etc.

Here's what I got: I've got an SCCM SP1 server running, with MDT integrated following the nice technet webcast of Richard. That seems to be setup ok. Managed to take a wim of my base machine and upload it onto the server.

Now, I'm using a script which was written for use in MDT and the information I got about that script sais I need to copy it into the \scripts subfolder of the MDT distribution share. But I want to deploy using SCCM (and use the 'import MDT task sequence')

Should I add the MDT distribution share as another DP in SCCM then? Or is it more interesting to copy the contents of the MDT distribuion share into the DP of SCCM?

 thanks for any info!

 M.

There is a very nice quick guide for MDT/SCCM located with the documentation with MDT. Take a look at that. These should help you get up and running with at least a lab environment.

\Program Files\Microsoft Deployment Toolkit\Documentation\Quick_Start_Guide_for_Configuration_Manager_2007.doc

Let me know how that goes.
