Hello Forum,

I'm using MDT\SMS 2003 to create a new ZTI image.  I want to know if it's possible to change the "IT Organization" task sequence dialog box in ZTI as you can in LTI.

Lite Touch Installation
Q:  Is it possible to change the text IT Organization in the task sequence dialog box?
A: Yes!  You can set the variable _SMSTSORGNAME in the custom settings.ini to match the text you want to use.  For example to set the text to Microsoft Corporation, add the following line to your customsettings.ini: _SMSTSORGNAME = Microsoft Corporation

I've tried adding the _SMSTORGNAME in my CS.ini, but the dialog box still shows "IT Organization".  Can this be applied in ZTI deployments?

TIA for any assistance,

Jay Ross

Yes it´s possible. You have to create a file called varibles.dat on your DPs. The content of this file should be:

Now you have to add the file in your cutom action ZTI-VALIDATION. Update your Distribution Points.

The next time you start ZTI your custom text appears in the dialog box. The only thing I don´t know but I really want to know is how to add a text after "Running:". This would look like more professionally made.

Hope this helps. Didi.

O.K. add the variable

to the same file. Now you have a complete dialogbox.
