So I am now getting errors in event log whenever a computer gets imaged

Source: WDSServer  Event ID: 769
An error occurred while trying to create the UDP endpoint for WDSMC provider on interface :63723. This can happen if the network interface was disabled or changed, or some other application is already using the port. The provider will not be able to receive requests on this interface.

Error Information: 0x2

Source: WDSServer  Event ID: 1539
There are no available MADCAP servers on interface .

The image still gets sent down, just not via multicast. Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply.
Tried the 769 error steps - Hadn't seen that page before. Network connectivity seems fine. RRAS is disabled as well. It's an odd problem!

Hi There,

I had the same problem, took three days to figure it out.

In WDS consol, right click - properties

Go to Network tab

There are two settings

Obtain ip from DHCP

Use IP from following range

If you run your own DHCP on the same machine or a different machine, make sure you select the second choice: "Use ip from following range"

The ip are in a completely different range to your own, but it works. I checked the logs, snooped traffic on the lan and I don't know why?

Just try  and let me know, I am curious to see if it work for someone else.

Hey, ours was fixed after some update came. Don't remember what one it was, I can look it up if anyone is interested. Or it could have been a coincedence and the network guys changed something.
